4 Corners hired a lying driver.

I selected 4 Corners from this website after discovering they were listed in this site's TOP TEN transport services. They informed me that that because of the size of my vehicle, the location of pick up, and the fact that it wasn't running, it could take a while to get picked up. I clearly informed them that the disabled truck was at a truck stop in North Dakota and it couldn't stay there indefinately.

Approximately a week after listing I was informed a carrier was found and pickup date was scheduled. The owner of the truck stop was informed that my truck would soon be removed from his lot. On the scheduled pickup date I heard nothing from 4 Corners and sent off an email. I received a reply saying the truck 'got picked up in North Dakota ok'. I was later informed that the driver would be delivering my truck to me in Oregon on the upcoming Saturday.

I was informed later that the driver couldn't make the Saturday delivery because of 'bad weather' (which by the way was Super Bowl weekend) and instead would deliver the truck on the Monday after.

So, on that Monday at home on delivery day waiting for the driver, imagine the surprise when I found out my truck NEVER GOT PICKED UP! The driver was in North Dakota trying to find my truck and had to contact 4 Corners only because he couldn't find the truck.

I was lied to TWICE. And a third lie was in the making.

Who is to blame here for these HUGE LIES? Certainly not the customer paying $1799. For that amount I expected better from 4 Corners and the drivers they contract with. Surely 4 Corners could screen drivers more carefully. Or least scrunitize flimsy excuses. Or search the internet XXXI later found out this driver has his rig up for sale "cheap" and would teach the auto transport business to the buyer.

I cancelled the contract. But as a final insult, 4 Corners didn't promptly return the pickup fee I PROMPTLY paid when the pickup was assigned. They said they had to wait till my check cleared the bank. Well, EXCUSE ME! One would think the least they could do was promptly return my money after wasting 2 weeks of my life.4 Corners said they wouldn't hire this driver again. But as for me, 'you'll have to wait for your money back.'

No doubt this incident will help future 4 Corners customers as dropping out of the TOP TEN as a result of hiring a LYING LIAR will encourage Jeff and Ellen to screen drivers better.

At any rate, I did what I should have done in the first place XXXhad the truck fixed by a shop in ND, flew out and drove it home. I'm thinking you should too.

The driver was delayed 25 hours due to a weather delay due to a major snowstorm. When the driver did make it to the destination he found no vehicle at the desiginated location. He spent 5 hours looking for the vehicle while having no real communication with TJ because he is only accessible via email because of TJ being hearing impaired. We normally require that there be a person at pick up responsible for for giving the vehicle to the carrier to avoid this type of mis communication. Because of TJ's circumstance we made the decision to do him a favor. SEI's only sin was that they were delayed by a blizzard. They showed up and could not find the vehicle(OUR AGREEMENT STATES THAT DELAYS DO HAPPEN BECAUSE OF SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES). The vehicle we found out was towed away because it was abandoned at a parking lot of a restaurant. Miscommunication did occur between dispatch of SEI and the driver, She had assumed the vehicle had been picked up mistakenly and reported this to us. When we found this put we immediatley reported this to TJ . The driver waited around to pick up the car but TJ decided to have the vehicle fixed instead and have it driven to Oregon. TJ's refund was sent on Friday 2-15. He was informed of this . We do need a check to clear as policy before we refund in full. We did that. That is sound business policy practiced by every business. Our mistake was breaking our policy as a favor. That will not happen again. SEI WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THERE DUTIES GIVEN THE CIRCUMSTANCES. TJ DIDN'T KNOW WHERE HIS VEHICLE WAS. HE ARRANGED FOR THE VEHICLE TO BE PLACED IN A TOW ZONE. THE DRIVER WENT OFF THE BEATEN PATH TO ND TO GET THIS VEHICLE. NORTH DAKOTA IS NOT A GREAT PICK UP LOCATION IN WINTER TIME . ONCE THERE AND THE VEHICLE WAS LOCATED TJ SHOULD HAVE ALLOWED THE VEHICLE TO BE TRANSPORTED .THIS WAS HIS CHOICE THAT IT WASN'T AND MORE IMPORTANTLY HIS FAULT. SEI DOESN'T DESERVE THIS . THEY ARE NOT LIARS.
