We contracted A Eastern Connection to transport our car from Florida to MA. We were assured that there was a truck available to move our car within the week. One month has passed and we still do not have our car. Unfortunatley, the car was taken by tow truck to a lot to await the transport. At this time we want to cancel the contract, but the company will not tell us where the car is unless we send a fax that says we will pay them $250 in cash for administration costs and pay all terminal fees, which they would not tell us the amount. Any customer service people (JoAnne, Juan, and the manager John) have lied to us and been extremely unhelpful. We have been hung up on and had numerous disagreements with the reps. At this point I feel that our car is being held hostage more money. We paid in full up front, but can cancel the charge on our credit card. However, we do not wish to pay them any additional money to get our car back from the lot in Florida. We have contacted the Attorny General's office and the BBB to file complaints. I also spoke to a lawyer who said we can take them to small claims court, but that would require us to go to NY. This company is a total scam and leaves you feeling utterly powerless. Unfortunately, we did not do our research before contracting with them.
