I moved across the country from Maine to Arizona, after the movers had loaded all of my belongings into the truck they informed me the price was quite a bit more than I was quoted. At this point what am I supposed to do, they had all my belongings in the truck, I do believe I was taken advantage of because I am a single women. After my belongings were delivered and signed for I realized at least one item was missing and several items were broken so I filed a claim. The claim filing process is through a third party and extremely slow. After almost a year I agreed to a extremely small settlement, a fraction of the actual damages and I was told since I did not mention anything missing at the time of delivery they would not reimburse me for those items. Now it has been 6 months since I settled the claim and I have not received "the check" in the mail. The third party said the check would be Paid by IMovers, I have tried to call and email, no one answers the phone numbers I have found and I have not received any response to my emails. If it is not bad enough they gouged the price and damaged my property now they will not even pay me. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I could have rented a U-Haul and hired some guys to load/unload at half the price I was charged.
