In August of 2012 I was looking on the internet for a transporter to deliver the car from E. Brunswick, NJ to Van Nuys, CA. Several brokers have responded to me and one of them was Xpress Vehicle Transport LLC.
I called the number they supply and was told that I have to pay them a deposit $150 upfront via the credit card and the rest will be paid at the later date. Also I have to sign a contract in order to make our relationship official. They also informed me that I will be charged a deposit only after I sign the contract. Xpress Vehicle Transport LLC will not charge me, if they will not receive a signed contract.
I read the contract and decided that it is at disadvantage to me sign this contract. Following this decision, I contacted Chris at Xpress Vehicle Transport LLC and informed him that I cannot sign this contract. Chris told me not to worry, he will refund my deposit.
My deposit was never returned. I called Chriss several times and all he offered was a promise to return the money. Last time I called him he said stop calling me.
There is no signed contract between me and Xpress Vehicle Transport LLC. Also there were no services performed by Xpress Vehicle Transport LLC for which I should reimburse them.
I do not see any legality allowing them to keep my money.
