Wheeler Shipping was chosen due to the great reviews and her rapport on the phone. Unfortunately, Sue brokered our car move with US Auto Transport of Spokane, WA, who she used because she is unfamiliar with shipping from the northwest and we had a tight pickup window. The experience with US Auto Transport was terrible, its unbelievable those guys stay in business.
Sue was of little help in dealing with the carrier; she was quick to point out that once the shipper is contracted Wheeler Shipping has little responsibility. She tried to defend the poor service of the carrier by stating that this level of (non)service is typical for the trucking industry.
My disappointment with Wheeler Shipping is that the the expectation of using a broker was to filter out the very bandits that we ended up dealing with. Sue even stated she would use this company again. The contract she is proud to remind you that you agree to places little incentive for the carrier to operate in a timely and professional manner.
Our experience does seem to be the exception. Notwithstanding, buyer beware.
