I would rate them with negative stars if possible

The experience I had with the company that shipped my car from Utah to Florida in December 2009 was awesome. The experience I had with webster over the last 5 or 6 weeks has been the exact opposite.

Our first problem occured because of the online booking system they have: they ask for an initial pickup date and a final pickup date. I put Jun 15 as the initial pickup date and Jun 19 as the latest pickup date because I was flying back to UT on Jun 20th.

I called them on the 17th and told Wayne that I had not heard anything yet from anyone and that I was leaving Florida in a couple days, and that the latest pickup date was the 19th and that I had put that in the online form. SURPRISE! Wayne replied that this "latest pickup date" they ask for in the online form is WORTHLESS! they don't even look at it. He said that they go by the initial pickup date and then allow for 10 business days. WHY WOULD YOU ASK FOR A LATEST PICKUP DATE IF YOU WON'T USE IT??? What a shame.

After respectfully manifesting my frustration, he told me that only 1 out of 5 clients had the problem I had with the online form, on average. He said that as if that were an accomplishment. I replied that his success rate WAS A SHAME! THEY'RE RIPPING OFF 20% OF THEIR CLIENTS. I think no businessperson would be proud of such a deficient service rate. I was then forced to find a place to store my car until they picked it up. They were supposed to pick it up by the 29th of June the latest.

To make a very long story short, they never picked up the car. I called them twice this week. On tuesday the July 6th I was finally able to get a hold of them (they never reply to your emails so phone is the only way to communicate). The car was already like 20 days late since the initial pickup date they go by. Wayne was full of excuses; that the phones weren't working for a few days, etc etc. All kinds of excuses one would expect from a less-than-serious company. I asked him to call me the next day with an answer if he was going to be able to schedule a pickup within the current week. He promised to call me. He did not. I had to call him yesterday and ask for an explanation. After respectfully manifesting my frustration with his less-than-average service, he proceeded to refund my deposit AGAINST my will. I insisted that he did not refund the deposit, but he did.

It's been 3 weeks since we returned to Utah and our car is still stuck in Miami, Florida. I´m in need of my car because I'm having some medical problems and need transportation, and here I am, carless thanks to Webster.

PS: Wayne, I'm sure you will post a reply to my post, but you better have a better excuse than the phone issues you had for a couple days this week. This order was pending for more than 3 weeks. 2 days with the phone lines down is no excuse whatsoever.

Pay the extra $100 or $200

Yes this service was delayed and should not have been. As far as latest pickup date. We do not have that on our forms. We have first available date. As far as 1 out of 5 problems with page, that is made up. Never said. The price on this was quoted too low. We are sorry that happened. That is why we refunded the deposit. As far as not getting picked up at all, the customer canceled on the 11th day. Sometimes in all businesses we have a failure of one kind or another. This was one of them and I am sorry. Thank you and God Bless. Wayne Webster
