Still not refunded after 7+ months!

Entered into a contract to have a vehicle delivered. Unfortunately, the quoted time window came and went. While I understand this happens at times, I choose to cancel the order after 3 weeks of waiting and paid a friend to drive it for me (which cost me about the same, but with added miles).

Per the terms, a full refund of the deposit (the fee to the broker) should be refunded. Viking emailed with a promise to refund in 3 days. Nothing. Several emails and months later, another promise to refund and then dead silence - they will not respond to my emails any longer. They have not honored their own terms and promises and failed to refund the money after 7 months.

Fortunately, this was on a credit card and I am going to call in to dispute it. But what a hassle and waste of my time. Even worse, the complete lack of response recently is uncalled for and demonstrates what you can expect if things don't go as planned. My deal wasn't complicated, just following the agreed contract terms. Imagine if you had some real serious trouble, or gray areas....Can you trust them to make it right? This example shows that it isn't likely.

Don't cut corners for $50 - go with a more reputable transport company. You'll thank me for it if you have any bumps along the process.

Sir we have repeatable attempted to refund your deposit numerous times. But the bank continues to reject the refund. Evidently you have canceled this credit card. We have also responded to you and left you messages regarding this issue. We would be more than happy to refund your deposit. Contact our office since we can’t not get a hold of you. Provide us with your mailing address and we will happily mail you a check for your deposit. We are sorry if this has caused any inconvenience. But we have not avoided you and we have attempted to credit back your deposit….Richard H.
