All around terrible experience

Early November I needed to get my sisters car shipped from Georgia to California. I received many quotes and found this to be the lowest, I would later discover why it was the lowest quote. The only thing that they did promptly and in a reasonable manner was charge my credit card and take my money.

I called in and told them that I would go with them and stressed the importance of the car being picked up by a certain date. Tony reassured me and told me that I had a 2 day window and not to worry. He quickly took my credit card info and charged my account for the deposit and told me that we would receive a call in up to 24 hours with a confirmation from the driver which would set up the pickup time. I signed and faxed in the contract which laid out everything we discussed. Everything sounded good and I thought this hassle was over and that the car would be shipped, no problems.

The "window" for receiving a call to schedule the pickup time passed so I called the office. All of a sudden they became increasingly hard to reach and I had to play phone tag with Tony leaving messages and then he would call back much later when I couldn't answer. Finally I get a hold of Tony by phone and ask him why we have not heard anything about a pickup time. He reassures me again that they are working on it and we will hear soon, talking down to me like a child, making me sound unreasonable for wondering why the service was not being provided as promised.

The "window" passed for the call to confirm service and then the window also passed for the actual pickup of the car. I tried calling their office several times and got nothing but an answering machine. Because of time constraints I had to call a different company who provided the service as expected with no problems. I left Tony a message telling him that he failed to perform his end of the contract and that I would like a full refund for my deposit. Again no call back, I got an e-mail the a few days later saying sorry we could not serve you and the refund would be on the way. Again, I thought this horrible transaction was over and again I was wrong.

In January I log online to my credit card statement to check my account activity, I hardly ever use the card. I went into November and found that the refund for my $140 deposit to Viking Auto Transport still has not been applied. I would not recommend this company to anyone, they may be appealing because of the low price but the service is terrible. They are nice and helpful until they get your money, once you pay the deposit they disappear and forget about you and stop returning phone calls. If you have any questions about my experience, feel free to contact me on here.

Dear Joe we do regret that it took longer than usual to pick up your vehicle. But we never told you that we would be picking up your car within 24hrs. We did have a driver assigned to pick up your car but every time that we would call to set up a pick up time, know one was available at the pick up address to turn over the car to the driver. Even though we worked diligently to find you a driver which we did, you decided to make other arrangements. So you did cancel your agreement with us, and you are fully aware that your deposit has been refunded to you in full even though in the service agreement that you signed we were not obligated to do so since we did have a driver ready and willing to pick up your vehicle….
