I have been in the E-Commerce business for over 20 years and I certainly know my way around the shipping world, but I have never had to ship a vehicle! Looking online was overwhelming at first and I requested over 15 online quotes from different transport companies I found. That process was very easy and they were all quick with responses and seemed eager to set this transport up from GA to LA. Of course, I chose to hire the company with the least expensive quote which was the “Vehicle Shipping Group” at $450. The customer service rep., Cheryl, called me and explained the brokerage system that all transport companies use and described the entire process of posting a “transport job” online for transporters to view and accept. The interactions I had with Cheryl throughout the entire procedure from the pick up at the dealership to the delivery in my city was seamless and we were in constant contact throughout. Meanwhile, the other transport companies that I did not hire, due to their much higher rates, kept emailing to offer me discounts and lower rates as the days went by, which definitely tells me that the original quote they offered was simply above and beyond the price that should have been offered in the first place.
