don't know where to begin. have shipped car several times, first time I've had such a disaster.
Even thru Sandy. booked car for shipment from FL to MA. Was called the Sunday before pickup for Monday, told driver was pulled over, needed to change all 8 tires so broker had to
find another carrier which he said he'd found but pickup would now be Tuesday. the new company is manned by Russians, which I don't mind but all w heavy accents so speaking to them was very difficult. the bad part: the dispatcher had given the driver the incorrect cell # so when they arrived to drop car, he couldn't get ahold of me so off they went to Boston(an hr north) my sister called me to say the dispatcher called her about the car. why didn't they just call United who booked the trip? anyway, once all straightened, car dropped off. I'd paid a deposit of 200 to United, balance due on 700 contract. I had the cash:500. the new driver presents me w bill for 900!!!! huh shouldn't my original contract been in effect? so we call United, and dispatch...took almost 2 hrs to get back to me. Claims original dep was broker fee (had NEVER happened before), and they could not be liable for what the new carrier charges. Was not told there would be a difference in Sunday conversation. then Mike(United
dispatch)gave me a song and dance about how out of the way this town is. Fall River MA, the 3rd largest city in the state, out of the way? 15 min from Providence? the crap he fed me was unreal. good thing I have a strong heart otherwise I'd be in the hospital for stress, I checked
their rating on BBB, looked good. price fair. but beware, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.F, let me say again F..I'll be filing complaint w BBB and state offices . next time, I'll drive myself w a companion....worst experience w a vendor in my life.
