I received multiple quotes from shippers. Jeff Watson from UFT was my cheapest option by $200. He quoted me $700 total. I went ahead with Jeff's quote under the impression that this was his price and that PER the contract I signed this amount was not going to be changed in any way. Come the day before shipping (48 hours later) Jeff says the new quote is more ($950) and he was asking for an additional $250.When I questioned this - as what I read on my signed contract,it clearly stated there would be no up charge to the guaranteed agreed amount,he came back with the following explanation. "It was really impossible to confirm and find a driver for lower than this one. I really did my best to confirm a driver for you for as less as possible. I think I mentioned that is estimate and I mentioned that on the paperwork that is order confirmation" To me... That is not what I read... when someone gives you a price and has you sign a contract - and the contract specifically states the price is guaranteed you think it would be that. We haggled back and forth. He came down a little in price (Final agreed price ($850) was still less then his competitors offers) and I wanted the car asap so I did the deal but again it wasn't for his quoted original price. The shipper wanted to deliver at midnight I told him I wanted it light out so I could see the car condition etc. We agreed that we would meet at 0800 the next AM. He showed up at 11 AM. Made me very nervous but he did show and the car was as expected. I would say the process was a bit rough - they provided the service that I paid for even though there was a price change and made me a little nervous when he didn't show on time but overall I got what I needed. Would I use them again? All depends... I wouldn't say I've been won over by this business but I wouldn't say I am running away either. Hence the 3 stars. Thank you
