Gil helped me in every way with the contract, adding the 100 pound personal items allowed to my contract.
I told driver by phone "cashier's check or cash, right?" He was expecting cash. Driver offered one hour heads up for final delivery. I said "How about one day?" We agreed on two hours notice. At pick up, location was changed by driver from my home to side street off highway at very moment he was arriving. Lucky I had friends with me to drive me home. I understand, but would have liked to know that before the agreement.
For delivery, I thought of the largest parking area I could find and gave him the address. Had I had any type of schedule, work, etc, this could have been quite a headache. So, if they say 5 to 7 days for delivery, realize it might be there in three days, and you better plan for someone other than yourself to have the cash ready. For me it worked PERFECTLY, and the price was great. My driver did not call the day before pick up, and it was Sunday so I couldn't reach the company...but he called early the next day. My driver was terrific! Gil at United Car Transport gave me the confidence to believe in his company. I had driver sign a paid in full section and gave the car a good look. Read the fine print...I checked the driver's insurance on the spot, as the copy given by the company was from the previous year. Use them again? YOU BETCHA!!!!!
