HORRIBLE customer service. These people will leave you high and dry and laugh about it. Totally unprofessional. I contacted Ultra online through UShip to transport a pickup truck from California to Texas. I told them here's where my vehicle is, here's where it needs to go, here's when I need to get it picked up by. They took 24 hours to decide whether they could transport the truck, then said yes. I talked to them on the phone- the customer service rep said it would probably take 2 to 3 days to pick up, but they gave themselves a week in writing. I turned down all the other bids from other carriers on UShip as a result. A week later, on the last day of their written, estimated pick up dates, they still hadn't picked it up. I called them, they said they were trying to find a carrier. I told them if the truck didn't get picked up within the next five days, the business it was parked at was going to tow and impound it. They said they were trying, but no guarantees. The verbal date range the rep said didn't matter, and the written estimate of a week to pick up was just an estimate. I called uShip to complain, uShip called them, and magically, two hours later Ultra sent me an email that said they found a carrier and were going to pick up my vehicle in two days. Two hours after that they cancelled the shipment entirely and said they couldn't do it. No apologies. They literally just laughed about it. I told them in an email that if my vehicle gets towed and impounded I was going to take them to court for the fees. They sent me a reply and scoffed "Good luck!" These people are scum. Now I have to leave my family and fly out to California on Christmas to drive the truck to Texas myself. They're just truly bad people. I would never even consider doing business with them again. Do yourself a favor and find a different carrier for your shipment.
