This company is only a broker. They take a $200 down payment and then post the job on a board that shipping companies view. I spoke to a “Kevin”, which is definitely not his real name as his accent was thick and his communication skills were terrible. I specifically asked if my Jeep could be picked up on Labor Day, especially since it was a holiday. I was told “Of course, Sir. We operate 24/7”. I was quoted $800 for a move from Cape Cod, MA to Calabash, NC. There was no communication in the days leading up to the pickup. I called, texted and emailed. There is no escalation process or Management involved. Labor Day came and went with. No pickup and no communication. Finally. On Tuesday afternoon “Kevin” called and advised the pickup would be on Wednesday but the Driver wanted an additional $400. There was no negotiating. I was given the contact details of the driver. More broken English but at least more communicative. The pickup and drop off went smoothly after that but there was really no point in using US Star Trucking. I should have used Montway. They’re more expensive but they’re American and they are reliable. And more importantly, they are actually doing the shipping.
