I contracted with USA Auto Transport to ship my husband's car from California to Oklahoma. I had shopped around 20-30 auto shipping companies before I decided to contact USA Auto Transport, WORST decision I ever made!!!! The customer service agent on the phone told me that the quote I was given would be the final amount I would pay INCLUDING an initial deposit of 195.00 to ensure that I would be using them, so it made sense to me to provide them with a deposit so their was a guarantee on both our ends. I read over the contract and next to my quote it said "subject to terms." I immediately asked my customer service agent what these "terms" included and if my quote would change. My customer service agent assured me that my quote ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT change unless the situation of my car did(location of pickup and operable or not). These terms once again made sense to me and I decided to go ahead and pay my deposit of 195.00 to contract with this company. Fast forward to week of the pick-up date and I still have not been contacted by anyone with details around my car. I was busy dealing with a million things before my move and put this off until the last minute. I realized on Tuesday September 23rd that I still had not heard from the company and the first available pick up date quoted to me was the 23rd. I immediately contacted the customer service office and was greeted by a message stating that "There has been a medical emergency and there is no one in the office." I found this to be strange, because I didn't understand how a medical emergency could effect an entire office of people, but decided to just leave a message and hope that someone would call me in the morning. The next day I received a call from the carrier that USA Auto Transport had arranged for me. This person stated that I would owe 695.00 on delivery which was 160.00 over what I had agreed to pay. I decided not to agree to these terms, because this was not what was initially quoted to me, and instead call the company to understand what happened. After calling multiple times a day Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday and being greeted by the same voice mail of their being a medical emergency, I finally received a call back from a man who was calling from a New York phone number. I answered the call to explain my situation to this man who responded by BERATING, TALKING DOWN TO, and YELLING at me for 7 minutes straight . I asked the man to stop being so rude and to listen to my reasoning, but he called me "ignorant," and kept yelling that I needed to read the contract to which I responded that I had and had also discussed the terms of the agreement with his customer service representative. This man told me that he took no responsibility for his customer service agent and what he may or may not have told me. I then asked for my deposit back to which he responded by further yelling at me and calling me ignorant once again for not reading the terms of the contract which stated that as soon as a carrier is provided their is no refund, to which I responded that the carrier provided was not within my quoted price. IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE nightmare that ended by him hanging up on me and me in tears. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER WORKING WITH THIS COMPANY. COMPLETE SCAM AND MISERABLE PEOPLE.
