Below is a copy of an email I sent to the dispatch person. The problem is the fact the company gave no indication that the price they quoted me had changed until the driver showed up with my car. tristar aka (&/or) Fairway Auto Transport stated their contract covered this type of issue. Although the same paragraph outlining their rate changes, also outlines their responsibility to inform the customer before proceeding. That is what did not happen. How many people have been duped by this company because it isn't worth the small claims filing cost, and they know it. The icing on the cake has happened three times by phone; They say that someone will call me back. It is no surprise they haven't. Here is my last correspondence one weak a go.

It is not surprising that your business’s customer support during problem resolution is just as detached and unaccountable as the rest of the transaction has been.

As stated by your representative, your contract outlines your company’s intent to procure a driver at an agreeable price. Item 15(a) which is being touted as justification for your rate increase, also states that the customer will be informed of any increase and should that not be agreeable, their deposit shall be returned.

Is that why your company is avoiding communication with me now? Neither of those occurrences involving the customer (myself) happened. What did happen is that you released a truck at a price you set without ever informing me that the original price your company quoted may need revision.

This is the fourth attempt to resolve this matter

The customer does not have to be notified if the increase is 250.00 or less to be paid to the trucker, if this customer read the contract he would have understood it. We do not just add charges, they come from the contract and the terms and conditions. Sorry that the customer feels this way but we do apologize for any misunderstanding.
