On December 13th I contracted with Tristar Trucking and paid a deposit for the transporting of my vehicle from Los Angeles to Interlochen, Michigan. They SAY they farmed it out to BPB Trans Corp and on Dec 27 I was called from an unknown location to say that the car would not be delivered per the contract but would be placed in storage in Detroit and that I could retrieve it at some point even though a cashier's check for the delivery was waiting for the driver at the point of delivery. Tristar's & BPB's subsequent demands by phone evolved from insisting that I travel to Detroit with cash to pick up the vehicle to the current instruction that I must wire funds to a bank account to secure the car, and at a subsequent point, I will be informed of a location in Detroit where I could find my car. This arrangement seemed considerably suspect, especially since last names of individuals and a location of storage are information that Tristar has refused to share. Because of the suggestion that the car was being held the car in Detroit, I asked the Michigan AG's Office of Consumer Complaints about the appropriateness of this proposal and was advised that it was quite irregular and to not follow these instructions. I am still in northern Michigan without my car six weeks after putting a deposit down for its delivery, and am pursuing governmental and legal recourse to get my car and hopefully spare others this experience. Speculation is that it's in a chop shop in Detroit by now; if you want a car to disappear as well as some of your money, get in touch with these folks.

This is an out and out lie, the car is not stolen and the customer knows who and where the car is , they do not want to pay the bill and tried to collect from the insurance company for a stolen car, even though they knew the driver and his phone number and was in contact with him constantly.
