Broker / Carrier - Not a great Experience

Summary: This was not a good experience. As a small business owner I would not provide the level of service provided by the broker or the carrier - both were well below average. I am just thankful that the vehicle arrived without damage - that was a positive.

Let me start by saying that I am sure the Broker (Trinity) state that they are independent of the Carrier (Carrier comments below) - but for the sake of this review I will include my experience with both, as I believe it will inform others on whether or not to use Trinity. After all, shouldn't a broker know who is good, and who isn't?

Also, I have e-mail traffic to back up much of below.

At the start of this order I was not comfortable with the "Cash, Check, or Money Order" terms for paying the driver delivering the vehicle - I should have found someone else at that point.

In dealing with Trinity, there were multiple occasions where replies and acknowledgments were slow. It is possible they were having e-mail issues (they kept telling me to check my spam folder - no e-mail was ever there) - but that is really not my problem. On one occasion I had to remind Trinity about where we were in the transaction - not a huge deal, but speaks to the attention to detail and the experience.

The price that was quoted to me was not able to be filled. I received 2 calls offering to deliver the vehicle for a higher price - I ended up going with one that was $100 more just to get the ball rolling. In my original submission on the vehicle I made it CLEAR that there would be parts inside the vehicle - parts that actually belonged to the vehicle in question so that I would not be charged extra for these. I expected the broker to only deal with drivers that were willing to accept these (the gross weight of the vehicle was not an issue - it was a VW bus with little interior - a very light vehicle) stated conditions. This coordination was not done. When the Carrier showed up to pick up the vehicle I was told it would be another $100 because of the parts (for those keeping score, the price is now $200 higher). I contacted Trinity about how I was going to be compensated (I believed this to be there bill, as I had made my requirements clear at the start) - there response was basically "that is your problem."

The Carrier that Trinity Brokered. Dealing with this person was a nightmare. I made it clear in multiple phone calls that I needed to meet them there and that I needed 24 hours notice of when to be there. I called them at noon the day the vehicle was delivered and the guy was like "yeah, I'm almost there." I leave work in a rush to get down (1.5 hours) to where the car is going to be delivered and I beat the guy there by almost 2 hours - so much for "almost there." I had coordinated this with a restoration place and luckily the guy was nice enough to stay around so that I did not have to make another 1.5 hour trip down to the facility.

Again, in conclusion. I would not use Trinity again.

First off, I'm not sure if this is even my customer. The only info I have to find out who this is is "Danny". Notice the quote number is not a number at all. If it is my customer: 1. Cash, Cashier's Check, or Money Order is industry standard. We also offer paypal and credit card. 2. I tell all customers the same thing about shipping goods inside of a car; it's technically illegal, some drivers do it but I never advise it. 3. "that is your problem" is simply something I never say to any customer. 4. Because I do not know who this supposed customer is, I cannot comment on who the driver was, but I will say that we all use the same order board and it doesn't matter which broker you use; you will most likely have the same driver.
