Will never ship another vehicle due to this experience

I preface this review by saying I used to work as a logistics manager so I dealt with shipping vehicles all over the world all day everyday for years for a big three automaker. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had shipping a vehicle. Someone purchased my vehicle over 2 months ago, he is in California the car is in Ohio. I did not want to ship it, however he paid for shipping. I got a quote from Travelers which was far less than what it actually took to get a trucker to take the route. I paid an over $200 deposit May 2nd, a month later the vehicle was still sitting at my house. I called literally every day multiple times a day and got a different answer everytime. Finally, I was not nice the final time I called, the man I spoke to was extremely rude and when I said I worked in logistics I understand how it all works he said very nastily "well then tell me how it works". I think a lot of their rudeness was because I was a woman who continually stated they were not operating correctly when I had worked in the industry for over 10 years. They thought I was joking I guess and were determined to make fun of me. I had every right to be pissed off and not be nice about the situation. They then told me well the price will be higher, no trucker will take the route. It took a MONTH to get that answer. Finally the night I called and was nasty and got that answer, they sent a trucker last minute who didn't even speak English so I have no idea when the car will be there or what's going on. He didn't speak of word of english and Travelers had told me paying him by cashapp would be fine considering it was after bank hours so I couldn't get cash. It wasn't, he didn't even understand how to work the app so I had to download it for him and show him how to work it, without speaking Spanish so I have no idea if he got the money or not. He was very friendly luckily and understanding so I felt bad. Anyways, the people who work at this company including the owner (Adam I believe) got really nasty with me when I gave them the same attitude they were giving me back. I'm 7 months pregnant and very hormonal so them being nasty just made my anger over the situation worse. Should also mention once it hit a month I told them to cancel and refund my deposit, the first guy who was nasty said I signed a contract they wont refund it. No other shipping companies I called would even put in a quote until they refunded me and cancelled the order, the other companies told me this (what travelers was doing) was a horrible business practice (I was literally ugly crying on the phone with the other shippers). Instead of cancelling so I could book with someone else they sent the shipper last minute that night, after lying that they'd refund me. So when they give you a quote, expect it to be at least $1000 more than what they quoted and for your vehicle to sit for months. They should be incorporating the raising gas prices into the initial quotes they gave people. If they had done that I could've charged the guy the correct amount to begin with. Now I lost money and owe this guy $600 instead of making money on the sale of my vehicle. My vehicle was a 64 Chrysler which was inoperable so they tried to give the excuse no one wants to pickup an inop vehicle.

Hi Heather we are sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience. We strive to ensure all customers are happy with the service. We took a look at the file and noticed that the town the vehicle was in was completely off the carriers routes. We explained this to you multiple times and asked if Toledo was an option. The recordings reflect you calling in multiple times cursing at multiple customer service representatives. Despite the verbal abuse you gave our representatives We did in fact pick up the INOP vehicle and deliver it safely. Sorry if any aspect of the transport process was an inconvenience.
