Unfortunately, this company does not take responsibility for any damage incurred suring transport. I shipped my beloved classic Mercedes Benz 560SL convertible that was pristine via TAS who subbed out the water transport to Matson and the ground transport to a company that is mentioned in my original review. After much wrangling and a $1372 repair bill for a dent in the trunk sustained during transport (trucker says picked up with dent from Matson and gave documentation saying so - Matson says he did not file claim on picking up car therefore claim not allowable) TAS has been AWOL during this entire unpleasant experience basically just advising me to contact Matson, and shrugging when Matson denied the claim. I am left apparently with my only options being to swallow the $1372 repair cost or to take TAS or their subs to small claims court. You would think that a responsible organization would step up to the plate and have insurance to cover this sort of thing regardless of which of their subs actually damaged the car. I will also explore whether my auto insurance will cover the damage. Needless to say, I am not thrilled with the expense in terms of dollars and time that this has cost me.
Car shipped in March, still dealing with this problem in September.
Caveat emptor - buyer beware. See who really is responsible if damage is done during transport. It may be you.
