I hope I never have to ship a vehicle again. The pick-up end of this shipment was basically fine. The driver showed up early, although early meant I had to change my schedule, which I had already changed to accommodate the original pick-up time. The delivery of the vehicle was delayed.
The driver called at 10am and told me he'd be dropping my vehicle off that evening by 10pm. At 9:45pm I called him, and he said, "oh sorry, I should have called to tell you I wasn't going to be there tonight." He said he'd be there by 10am the next morning. At 9:45am the next morning, I called him again. This time he didn't even know where he was or how far away he was from me. He called me back a few hours later and had figured out that he was still a few hours away. The car was finally delivered around 3pm. The driver did apologize to me for being so late.
