I had contracted with Transport relief with a quote of $880 with an indication that they can transport my vehicle cheaper that Scottie's transport who was a carrier who was ready to pick up my car at $920 in the next day. I had thought it was more convenient at the time to wait another week since the cost was a little less. WHAT A MISTAKE!!!!! Transport relief had given me a pick up date a week later and 2 days before the pick up date, they cancelled and said that they were working on getting another carrier. They blamed hurricane Sandy for the higher quotes from other company quotes and told me that the quote was an estimate, the delivery date was an estimate, unfortunately I had given them $200 that was directly taken out of my account. They do not have a return policy if they can't get your car transported within any timeframe. The dispatcher told me to rest assure that "they will keep on trying even it takes a month or year". That's assuring ... I just need my car shipped. It's been 22 day and yet no pick up date or indication that they can come close to quote. They did call me after two weeks and said that they found a carrier to move my vehicle for $320 more than the contracted quote which was a 33% increase on the cost of $680 totaling $1,000 not including the $200 that they already took from me. DON'T EVER SIGN A CONTRACT OR PAY A DEPOSIT UNTIL SOMEONE PHSICALLY PICKS UP YOUR CAR!!!! It's not to late for you to learn from my mistake.
