Poor Quality service and follow up

I chose to go with TransAuto Transport because there was an assurance that the car would arrive 5-7 days from my pick-up date because they promote they are carriers (which is partly true - they also use a lot of third party drivers).

The car was scheduled to be picked up on Sunday the 25th, but actually picked up on Wednesday, the 28th. Instead of taking the 5-7 days, it took 8 days in addition to the 3 days already behind schedule.

In addition to this, I was guaranteed door to door service (or close to door to door if the streets are too small). However, the driver only gave me a window during the middle of the workday in a neighboring city that took me an hour and a half from my workday.

I spoke to Erica and Dan about dealing with this issue, but to no avail. While they 'listened' they did not provide compensation to properly deal with these MAJOR inconveniences.

I understand this customer was seeking a refund for his deposit, however as we did provide everything per the service agreement he signed, we simply could not justify a refund. Auto transport is not an exact science, just like moving trucks for household items, etc, delays and changes are a part of almost transaction. We do our best to inform our customers of these possibilities, but some still expect exact times, dates and absolutely no hitches. Obviously we would love this too, and while we strive for perfection, we are very aware of the reality of transport.
