My husband needs a Mustang transported from Minnesota to New York. Initially, I spoke with Daniel, who advised me that pick up would be no earlier than 7/27. I advised him that we were in no hurry to get the vehicle but to make sure that somebody kept in contact with us, so we and the seller could plan accordingly. The seller was told that a driver would be there on Friday, the 26th, so he waited but nobody came. He called Daniel, who told him that the driver had problems but would be there Saturday, 7/27, by noon. At 1:00 pm, the driver still hadn't arrived, so the seller called Daniel again. Daniel advised the seller to call Ernie, the dispatcher/manager for the status. Ernie advised the seller that the driver would be there Saturday evening. The driver never showed up. Then, the seller was advised that the driver would be there Sunday, 7/28. Again, no driver showed up. The seller wasted his weekend waiting for a driver who never appeared. Sunday evening, the seller contacted me. On Monday morning, I called Daniel, who advised me that I had to speak with Ernie. I called Ernie and left a message on his voicemail. Ernie returned my call at around 7:00 pm, leaving a message that they had a problem with the driver, who was no longer working for the company. He assured me that they were looking for another driver and the matter would be resolved by Wednesday, 7/31. This morning, I tried calling Daniel and got his voicemail. Then I called Ernie and got his voicemail. I left him a message asking the status. He didn't call back. I called customer service and was advised that I had to speak with Ernie, they would call him and tell him to call me. I told the person I spoke with to advise Ernie that if I didn't hear from him within an hour, I'd be contacting my credit card company for a chargeback. Ernie didn't call. I called Ernie again and left another message. My message was very clear that if I didn't hear from him by 5:00 pm, I would be contacting my bank for a chargeback. Guess what....Ernie didn't call. I called customer service again. They had Daniel call me. Daniel said he'd have Ernie call me. Again, Ernie didn't call. My bank has been contacted and I'm done with this company. I've since found out that all of these companies are brokers, there is a board with bids and drivers contact the broker if they are interested. I've got no problem with that. I'd also have no problem if I was told that it can take up to two weeks to find a driver. I do have a problem with dishonesty and atrocious communication.

8/1/13 UPDATE: My review was originally posted on 7/31/13 but Trans Auto Transport had it removed because they claimed that I was not a customer. I provided proof, in the form of a signed contract, showing the $175.00 deposit that was charged to my credit card, to the administrator of this website. In turn, my review has been reinstated. Despite my repeated requests to Trans Auto Transport for removal, my car remains on the national board, which makes it very difficult for me to have the car shipped.
