Shipment Cancelled - No Follow-up

Total Car Shipping solicited my business as another broker failed miserably to get a car shipped from Arizona to Seattle. I was provided the name of a carrier (CNS Transport, Inc.) and driver on June 2. When I called the carrier they said that they had re-routed the truck and that they would not be picking up my car. They said they had notified Total Car Shipping of that earlier. I called Marie Abrahams and relayed that information. She assured me they would find another carrier shortly. Meanwhile another broker contacted me and indicated that they were sure they could get the car picked up by Friday (we were flying to Seattle on Saturday}. I told this other broker that I was assured by Total Car Shipping that they would get me answers very soon, but I would keep that in mind. I actually shared that information with Marie and told her we very anxious the supposedly confirmed order had been cancelled, and that I would like to hear from her throughout the day. She promised me she would call me before she left work. I never heard from her. As I did not hear back from Marie, I contacted the other broker and they started working on shipping the car with lots of promises about being able to make it happen. Basically, whoever could get a real "confirmed" carrier and driver first I was going to go with as the clock continued to tick. From that point forward Marie did not communicate with me. I emailed her and called her. When I did reach her she said she was going to connect me to the dispatcher. That called failed and when I called back, Marie did not answer. I left a voice mail asked her to call me. She did not. I subsequently learned that I had been blacklisted! I suspect it was by Total Car Shipping, but I have no proof of that. In the end, the car was not transported and the entire process was a horrible experience. My daughter ended up driving the car from Phx to Seattle instead of flying with the rest of the family. My opinion is that people in this industry need to be more sensitive to the anxiety and stress of their customers as the transport of our vehicles on time is extremely important to our plans, activities, and events. Returning phone calls and being honest in terms of committing to getting shipments made is paramount to your customers. Taking action against a customer because they pursued other avenues after you failed is very hypocritical.
