Titanium Transport gave me a quote and a contract to transport my car from Louisiana to Arizona for $775.00. They said it was a route traveled often and there should be no problem having my car transported in 1 to 10 days as their contract stated. They requested a $200.00 down payment be paid by Bank Check. I now know they only take payment in the form of a bank check because there's no way for the customer to stop the payment. From the time I paid the deposit until today (13 days) I heard nothing from them although I left phone messages and emails messages to them daily asking for a status. Today I received a call from Rick stating they were unable to find any carriers that would transport my car for $775.00. He said he would need $1,300.00 to get the car to AZ. When I asked for a refund of my $200.00 he said it was a brokerage fee and non-refundable. I told him there was nothing on the contract stating the $200.00 was a brokerage fee and I was told it was a $200.00 deposit and the balance would be due upon delivery. That's what Chrystal told me on the initial call. Then he told me I had made up the $775 price in my head and I was stupid to think the car could be delivered in AZ. for $775.00. I told him Titanium Transport gave me the price and they should not have quoted the price if they couldn't honor it. I again asked for my $200.00 to be refunded since it was Titanium who could not fulfill the contract and I would find another hauler or take it to AZ myself. Rick then said if I didn't like the way Titanium did business I could report it but it wouldn't do me any good because they were the "Big Dog" in the hauling business and I couldn't touch them. I intend to report his company to BBB in Tennessee, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, and the Attorney General Consumer Affairs for Tn at 615-741-4737. If I can get a class action suit against Titanium Transport I will do so. Treating honest, hardworking people like this is nothing short of stealing!
