I received a quote to have my 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee shipped from San Marcos, CA to Alexandria, VA in May of 2010. On 10 May, I paid a deposit of $190.00 from my Paypal account. The order number is 2772-NW. I was told that it could take up to 30 days to ship my truck. After two months, I hadn't received any phone or email messages stating a pickup or delivery time. During this time, I called Chris Matthews several times and left messages regarding the status. I was finally able to get a hold of Jay Anderson on 6 July, who informed me that my refund had been processed on 30 June as a result of a complaint that I filed with Paypal, and that Chris Matthews no longer worked for the company. He also stated that the company had called me a couple of times to provide me with a date that my truck could be shipped. I told him that I had received no messages, and the representatives needed to leave a message for me to return their call, otherwise I had no way of knowing they had called. I allowed two weeks for the refund to show in my Paypal account, after which time I started to call Jay Anderson again. I have left messages every day for the past two weeks asking for information regarding my refund, but all of my calls have been unanswered (thanks to caller ID) and all of my messages have been unreturned. This company has had my deposit for 3 months, and this is unacceptable. I am filing a complaint that will hopefully result in my money being refunded, and potential customers being warned of this company's unethical business tactics. I have requested an investigation into this matter from the State Attorney General’s Office, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB), Complaints.com, and The Squeaky Wheel.com in an effort to get this matter resolved, since it’s apparent that my attempts to handle this directly with the company over the course of the past 3 months have gone unnoticed.
