This was my first attempt at using an auto shipper / broker, as I would usually drive whatever distance is needed to pick up a vehicle. I was overwhelmed at the quantity of brokers available as well as all of the diverse websites, and slick advertising. Overwhelmed, but not surprised. After I submitted information for shipping quotes, I was BOMBARDED with emails and phone calls. After lots of emails, fending off callers and general investigation, I settled on TD Auto Transport, and spoke with Anthony Sciola.
I was reasonably happy with his initial phone manners and professionalism. He was initially prompt with his quote. He obtained a shipper (meaning that he posted my vehicle to a load board and waited for an appropriate response/bid from a trucker/shipper). Smooth sailing so far. Vehicle was picked up on time.
I got calls from the broker confirming pickup and another call promptly from the shipper (truck driver) explaining that I would have the vehicle in two days.
After that, things deteriorated rapidly.
No delivery on the assigned date. Phone calls to trucker, left message. Kept calling. Even used several cell phones so as to not get forwarded to answering machine again. Trucker eventually called and explained that he had an additional "hot load" that required immediate attention and would require additional time to deliver my vehicle.
I was at a loss and felt that my vehicle was in transport purgatory. I called Anthony Sciola, he explained that HE would contact the shipper, get an explanation, and return my call. HE NEVER DID. After an additional day waiting, I starting making phone calls to Mr. Sciola (his direct cell no.). He finally answered after repeated attempts.
He explained that his responsibility to me had ended once the shipper had picked up the vehicle. PERIOD. He would do nothing more for me, and that is EXACTLY what he did.
I will never use this company again, and will be glad to explain any further details needed to anyone who wants to know.
For what it's worth, I got the vehicle in 5 days, and wasn't entirely happy with the shipper/trucker. BUT, I will say that my vehicle was delivered undamaged and in good order. He has an elevated status over the broker simply because he made attempts to communicate and HE WORKS FOR A LIVING.

THIS IS MY FIRST NON-5 STAR REVIEW I HAVE EVER GOTTEN. STEVE WAS NOT EVEN MY CUSTOMER HIS WIFE LIAT WAS. I SPOKE WITH LIAT 26 TIME'S OVER THE COURSE OF THIS TRANSPORT. HER TRUCK WAS PICKED UP AT 9:53 A.M. ON MARCH 25. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A 3 DAY TRANSPORT. BUT AFTER THE CARRIER PICKED UP HER TRUCK HE RAN INTO AN ISSUE WITH THE LOCATION OF THE NEXT VEHICLE HE HAD TO DROP OFF. WHICH CAUSED A DELAY IN THE DELIVERY OF LIAT'S TRUCK.WHICH WAS DELIVERED AT 8:05 A.M. ON MARCH 29. THAT MEAN'S IT WAS DELAYED LESS THEN 24 HOUR'S. I GUESS LIAT COULDN'T WRITE THIS REVIEW BECAUSE SHE KNOW'S THE CARRIER AND I BOTH SPOKE WITH HER AND EXPLAINED THE SITUATION. I TRULY GO THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE ALL MY CUSTOMER'S HAPPY WHICH IS PROOF BY ALL OF MY 5-STAR REVIEWS.
