To anyone looking to transport their vehicle, I suggest you look at Suncoast Auto Transport. I'm creating this review BASED ON finding and booking transport for my vehicle. Neal at Suncoast WAS the most professional and helpful. I received quotes as between 800-1500; however, upon followup found out that the low quotes were the same or MORE than what Suncoast had quoted (1050). I also VERIFIED Suncoast on BBB and this site. Not only were they BBB Accredited, they also had LESS complaints then the competition. I asked many of the companies to explain specific complaints and they couldn't.
I was that old ditty that asked a lot of questions when making my booking. Will the price change? Please explain the negative comments on your transportReviews profile. How likely is it that the price will change? When will I find out if my car is accepted by a transporter? All these questions AND more, Suncoast answered the best. The offer email EXPLAINED how the process works AND Neal knows each negative review personally. While they have a low feedback rate, the negative reviews posted leave me questioning if Suncoast really did anything wrong in the situation.
Another broker recommended I explore the low number of reviews they have, so that sent me into a Review the Reviews Frenzy. While some companies have 1000+ reviews its important to READ the DETAILS of the bad ones. There are some real horror stories there. Question for you, how many reviews does your favorite restaurant have? How many people do you see there everytime you go for lunch/dinner. Reviews in the 1000+ range are questionable ESPECIALLY since Reviews only go back 2 years. Suncoast at this time only has 183 reviews which seemed realistic.
I thought the review situation was fishy. Being an Search Engine Optimization Specialist and Computer Programming, I know you can use bots and programs to flood the system with bogus information. (imagine that) How long did it take YOU to get a quote from this system?? Less than a minute for 16 reviews. Great! Sounds like an automated system hard at work. Last time I checked, it takes me at least 30 seconds to read an email, never mind responding with a VALID and useful response. I also want to note that some of the companies listed here pay for reviews (Paid reviews are denoted with a green ball). I value the Customer Review process and due diligence. I welcome your calls/emails regarding the service I received when trying to book vehicle transportation from Florida to California.
Long and short, check out Suncoast Auto Transport. This Customer Review is based on my experience reviewing 57 different bids to ship my car. The car HAS NOT BEEN SHIPPED YET, I will post a review when it is. However, before you pick the lowest bid, do some background research. Call them, ask questions, look on BBB and look at the NUMBER of complaints settled and NOT SETTLED. I'm happy I used Suncoast and feel confident my vehicle shipment will go very, very smoothly. As you can see, I'm recommending to the world that they at least call Suncoast. There are no hard-sale techniques used to scare you into booking NOW. Just honest, straight-forward folks willing to help.
