Greg picked up the phone no problem, just everything else wasn't good.

I recently purchased a vehicle that was located in Il and needed it to be shipped to NJ. After looking through the quotes, I decided to go with RiteWay, which they contracted out to Sun Rise, after talking with Jason Barshop. He informed me about the company, how they move 1400 vehicles a month, how the numbers speak for themselves, and how he handles business; no BS, just pick up a car and drop one off. I told him that RiteWay was the second highest quote I had gotten, but told me, "I wouldn't screw around over a few bucks. You know the car is going to get picked up on time and no BS.", per Jason. I told him I didn't want any excuses, I do not want to hear the driver's mother passed away, the truck broke down, or whatever. My only concern was to get the car picked up and dropped off. Now everyone wanted the car to be picked up the previous week, but because of the things getting taken car at the dealership(Cruise Control Adaptation wouldn't take hold. Audi kept trying to fix it.) We all agreed that it would be best to take the weekend to get everything straight and pick the car up on a Monday. Jason gets me in touch with the driver, and him and I agree to have the car picked up Monday between 8 and 10am. So here is where the problem starts. Now I am not sure who dropped the ball here, but in any case, delivery was late, no one was communicating to anyone and I ended up doing all the leg work.
To try and make a REALLY long story short; the car wasn't picked up on time. Car ended up being picked up in the afternoon and driven to the drivers location, which is something I was upset about because I was told the car would be on a flat bed and taken to the rig. I had the values reset on the car and didn't want anyone driving the car. Then there was miscommunication that the car was driven over 60 miles, but was later told it was 2.8miles. Fine. Now I was given a delivery date of the following day in the morning. I knew that wasn't going to happen because the car got a late start. Called Greg, he told me it looks like Tuesday afternoon/evening. Fine. Playing the waiting game, 9:30pm no car, no call, nothing. I call Greg, he tells be the car left only hours ago, around 1pm or 2pm. So again, I grew upset, I asked, "Where was the call to let me know there is a problem? I told you yesterday, if there is a problem, let me know and don't leave me in the dark." The answer I got just made me more upset. "It's not my responsibility to notify the 25 customers on my rig the status of the delivery. I am more worried about getting the truck on the road, and I didn't leave you in the dark." Huh??? Ok I understand you want to get the rig back on the road, but there would be no rig at all unless the customers cars weren't on that rig. And if I wasn't left in the dark, I wouldn't be calling number one and number two not yelling and screaming about where the car is. Greg explains to me the rig went in last Thursday for routine maintenance, techs found a bad drive line, water pump, and damaged carriage bolts. Now I am all about safety, I do not want anyone to get killed so safety is a priority, I just want a call letting me know, instead of me waiting around like a moron, pacing waiting for a call. Now I am not going to lie, I was ripping into Greg, I was yelling, cursing him off, and venting out because it seemed like he didn't get my point. I explained to him it would take him an hour max to call everyone and and give them an update, " Hey got a problem with the truck, its out of commission, delivery is going to be a little late.". Still, nothing doing, still insisted it wasn't within his capacity to call. So I finally calm down, he tells me car is rolling and should be there Weds afternoon/evening. Told him do not drop the car off in the evening, I want to see the car in the daylight or I am not signing the BOL. Both agreed and we wait again. Now I called Jason at RiteWay a few times Tuesday, but realized it was after hours. When I called Jason the next morning to explain to him what happened, he sounded upset and was going to do something about it. Jason calls me back, tells me he talked to the guy, gave him an earfull and if the driver said the car is coming on Wednesday, then it will be there. Ok, fine. 8:30 pm Wednesday, call up Greg. He tells me oh well you said not to deliver at night so I told me driver not to rush on it. Fine, I did say that, but again, A CALL TO TELL ME THIS. Anyways, asked where the truck is now and i'm told it's half way through PA. Wait?? So it was after 8:30pm and your driver isn't even in the state yet? Then I am told the truck had a flat and needed to be replaced with a used tire. Now I am really getting upset because I feel like lies are just running rampant, but I hold my temper back and just ask, "When do you think you can drop it off?" I was told before noon, Thursday. Fine. I call Jason back and start ripping into him about how I am doing all the leg work, what the hell is he taking a cut for when he didn't do anything, and what was all that talk about, "I don't do BS, I give it cut and dry and everything works out" Jason tells me don't worry, I'll call and see what is going on. Now I don't know what the truth is but Greg said he never got any call from Jason, but from another rep from Riteway. In any case, I told Jason, "No, just sit back and relax, I'm getting everything done anyways, just collect your money at the end of the day. (And I am yelling at this point, interrupting him because everything that comes out of his mouth is just BS anyways.) And I just hang up the phone mid sentence because frankly it was a waste of minutes. I'll admit, I made a mistake, I should have flagged him the moment I talked to him, but again, I was a sucker, I fell into the game. Anyways, 2pm Thursday, still no car, no call. I call Greg, he tells me the rig is at a port dropping off vehicles and that he should be done shortly. I ask him again, when will you be here, he tells me, looks like 4pm. Fine. 5pm rolls around, nothing. Call Greg, tells me looks like 6pm, he just got out of the port and he's on his way down and that I have his word, the car will get to me before it turns dark. Fine. 7:30 pm rolls, nothing. Call back, no one picks up. I'm flipping out at this point. Finally, the driver calls me at 8:20pm, asks me how to get here. I direct him, he gets here, drops the car, we both inspect it. And \by 9:15PM, were done.

So in all, the car missed 6 deadlines, I paid $729.00 for a car being late, probably have an aneurism somewhere in my brain because of all the yelling and frustration and I still didn't see the car in the daylight, like I asked. SO because of that, did I miss a few things that werent on the BOL, yeah, but what can I do? I signed it that everything was ok. It wasn't until morning I saw the damage to the front bumper after the driver tried to unload the car, and the bumper bottomed out on the pavement and scratched up the entire underside. Yes, the driver used 2x4 to get some height on the car, but damage was already done. Now I'm not saying I'm a perfect driver, but if damage was going to happen to the car, I want it to be under my watch, so is it a big deal, no, its principal. I was worried about that front bumper because of the Adaptive cruise control unit and was worried about the clearance of the car, loading it on the truck, Greg assured me there was more than enough, but when the driver brought it down, there was no way. Now If I had went with the median bid of $550, and all this crap still happened, I wouldn't be too upset about it, but because I spent more to get crap service, that's what gets me irritated and no one is taking responsibility. I'll admit that Greg told me "I should have taken the rig in a day earlier and everything would have been ok, and that was my bad, I'll take that hit." Well ok, but it still wouldn't make a difference, even if you got a one day jump, you were still going to be late.

I will give Greg an up that he did pick up his phone most of the time when I called or returned messages promptly, but as far as cost, convenience, honesty, and communication, I'll have to say poor. Greg did call me after the car was dropped off, but I didn't answer. I just let that one go. I got the car, that is all I wanted and I didn't want to talk to anyone from RiteWay(Broker) and with Greg.

On the same note, I did not look at Greg's ratings because I didn't know they were picking up the car, but after looking at the reviews, if I were to start this all over again, I wouldn't have chosen Sun Rise.
