Extremely poor pickup and delivery service

It was very important to have my auto delivered by the 22 - 24th of July. The contract was made on 13 July with State2State for $795 and upon advisement by a representative of the company I paid additional $100 to expedite the transport pickup and to make sure the delivery date would be met. the auto was not picked up and no contact was made to me until my phone call to them on the 16th. I was told no trucks were available but if I paid additional money someone would probably pick up my auto tomorrow, the 17th. the auto ws not picked up and on Monday, the 19th I received a call from State2State that a new contract was being sent to me, now for $945, and if I signed it a truck would pick up my auto on the 20th. The auto was finally picked up on the morning of the 22nd, the date State2State said it would be delivered to NH, and it arrived at the destination on the 27th of July. I would add that the independent transport company and driver did an excellect job under the circumstances.

I have shipped several autos before, all with good results; this experience was very stressful and I will never use State2State again nor recommend them to anyone.

the customer was booked with a nother company before us trying to ship VW bus. We explained becasue of the size of the vehicle, it woudl cost extra to move it. We confirmed with a driver to move the vehicle for extra money and hte cusotmer agreed to this. We contacted him at all times to verify everythign and the price and he agreed to it. The driver got confirmed for leaving Georgia still within our window of timeframe according to our contracts. The customer signed the forms and was OK with it all. After the driver pickedup the car, he was in transit and had some truck problems and was delayed a bit for delivery. The customer was advised on this. Unfortunetly, there was delays with the driver that is out of our control, since the delivery dates are estimated and never guaranteed, we still had the services done for the customer. We handled everything the right way and this is why pick up dates and delivery dates are estimated since we know sometimes the drivers have delays.
