This company "walks on water" as far as I am concerned. After a very bad experience with another contractor, Dee and Don of Specialty Mobile Systems took out the stops and got my car delivered to me within a week of my first contact with them. They kept me informed of all actions, and worked with me to keep me satisfied. I will, without a doubt, use them again. Though they own their own trucks, their truck did not transport my car - C&L Trucking actually moved the vehicle. Their driver, Rog, was very friendly, and kept me informed, too. And, he got the car to me ON TIME!!!!
I had contracted with another company on August 13 to move my 2003 Corvette. On Monday August this company told me that the car would be picked up that afternoon. On Tuesday, I called Arkansas, to find out if the car had been picked up. The people holding my car there told me that the other company had not contacted them. When I called the other company, they said, "what a coincidence - dispatch is talking to a driver, now, and will pick up your car this afternoon." That was the last time I was able to talk with anyone at this company. On Friday the 20th, after repeated phone calls and messages, I called my credit card company to challenge the charge on my deposit. I did not want to spend any additional money through this company because of their apparant misleading of me.
Because I am in Tampa, I selected the other company because they are also in Tampa. That was a mistake.
On Saturday, August 21st, after checking out the reviews of several transport companies, I phoned Specialty Mobile Systems, and contracted with them to get me my car. Because of the poor experience of the previous company, they did not require a deposit from me until they had arranged with a driver to pick up my car. I got my car on Thursday, August 26. It arrived in PERFECT Shape.
My sincere thanks go to Don and Dee of Specialty Mobile Systems for their great logistics work, and to Rog and his partner of C&L Trucking for hte safe and reliable transport of my car.
