I'm pretty happy with Specialty Mobile. I moved my Honda Civic from New Jersey to California. It took one week to get the car and cost me around $1000. Here are the details of my experience: I called on Friday, they said they'd pick up on Monday, and I was surprised they could come so soon. Their website is a little old fashioned, it won't take your credit card info. Someone named Amy or Denise will call to go over the order, and Dee called to get the credit card info. All 3 were really nice people on the phone and very pleasant to speak with, and I guess it's better to give the credit card over the phone than to have it on some server where it can get hacked into. The truck didn't come until Wednesday, but it was January, and the trucker was stuck in snow in Wisconsin or something like that, so I won't hold that against them, at least they were trying. I'm particularly happy because they let me put in some reasonable amount of cargo in my car. Usually these companies don't want you to ship more than 50 pounds and hide it in the trunk, but I had a long tower fan and golf clubs in the back seat also and they were cool with it. It would've been a pain to ship that stuff over. I had called last fall and spoke to Amy and she told me someone shipped a van with patio furniture in it, which is one of the reasons why I used these guys because I figured they wouldn't hassle me at all about the golf clubs, etc. But you need to keep it reasonable, and don't block any windows, and leave the passenger seat open. When they weight the trucks if you have too much stuff, the truckers will get fined, so keep it reasonable, guys. I had to pay the trucker $800 in cash when the car arrived, and it was filthy covered with dust but I took it to the carwash and it was all good after that. The car came on time although they could only give me a 2 hour notice, so I worked from home all day not knowing when the car would come, good thing my boss was cool with that. I definitely recommend these guys, they were very fair and I had an excellent experience with them.
