Scratched car

Even though customer service of Specialty Mobile Systems was good, it was negated by appearance of my car at the destination. Its roof, hood and fenders were scratched by tree branches. It had dent near windshield as well. Driver instructed me to go to body shop. The estimated damage was between $1200 and $1500.
Driver refused to pay that and told us that he is going to fix the car himself. Eventually my car was left in one of body shops, driver paid and left on his truck. When time came to take the car, we found out that driver paid only for dent and roof. Hood and fenders were still scratched. Body shop polished hood and fenders free of charge but some scratches on the hood are still there and additional cost to fix them was about $260.

The issue with this service is that to some extend it does not matter what company you place the order with. Drivers transporting your car are independent. You might luck out and your car will be fine or, as it happened with us, car will be damaged.

BTW, the name of driver's company is Smooth Operators Transport.

We apologize for this customer’s poor experience and understand the customer’s frustration. Specialty Mobile will act as a liason when there is unfortunate damages to a vehicle. We provide information to the customer for the carrier, and at that point the issue is in the hands of the customer, the carrier and the insurance company.
