I shipped my father's Honda Accord to my son in California with Specialty Mobile, two years ago, but never posted a reveiw. I am writing now because my sister is moving from New England to Florida, and asked for a recommendation, and I immediately recommended Specialty. My experience with their Door to Door service, from East Coast to West Coast, was excellent. I was very nervous, as my family never shipped a car before, and some people told me horror stories. But I was determined to find a reputable company to handle my dad's auto. My father had kept his top of the line, white Honda Accord, with moon roof, spoiler, racing stripes, and beige leather interior, garaged and in perfect condition. It had very low mileage. So, when he passed away, we all thought it was the perfect car for his oldest grandson, who lives in Southern California. Trusting my dad's car to perfect strangers was difficult. But after much research and several conversations with different companies, I decided on Specialty Mobile. The people at the office were reassuring. I believe I spoke with Dee several times. The pick up went off without a hitch. The driver and his wife (I can't remember their names now) were from southern California and were friendly and courteous, and explained their route and their timing to me. My dad's car was the first pick up, on the open transport truck, as they had just unloaded a truck full of autos. The expected time was 7-8 days, and I was able to contact the office during the transport, to receive updates. It arrived on schedule. My son received a call in advance, and the car was delivered to his doorstep. Just dirty on the outside from the trip cross country. The driver had taken off the wind spoiler over the moon roof, when he loaded the car in NJ, so that it would not get caught in overhanging trees. He reattached it on the car, in CA. We were really delighted with the whole experience. My niece is moving from San Diego back East, and plans to use them, also.
