Professional driver but more communication needed

After researching multiple auto transport companies, I went with sonic because they had the least of the negative reviews. My biggest complaint is their lack of communication. When the cars were not picked up on the two days that we originally planned for, I reached out, asking for information and really didn’t get much. It made me feel like I was dealing with a scam. Almost a week after the schedule date, they did come through with a driver. Of course, the cost was $1000 more than the original quote for two cars. I will say that the driver was extremely professional and very nice.We did not realize that when the driver arrived, we would need to pay him the bulk of the fee. He needed either cash, a cashiers check, or a transfer to Zelle. We were barely able to scrape through all of the money needed…Not because we didn’t have the money, but because ATM cards and Zelle all had limits per day. Of course, the delivery was after our bank had closed. Once again, this was not the fault of the driver. Sonic told me that they had sent in an email that I would need to pay this. My thinking is that they need to make that extremely clear to each person who is hiring the services.
