I had contracted Silva to ship a motorcycle from Arkansas to Nevada on 7/6/2005, the bike would be available for pick-up on 7/8. I was told that it would take between 7 and 10 days to pick the bike up and another week in transit. I found this time line to be acceptable and the person I talked to (Sadie) courtious. They also had the best price by far at $525.00.
At the end of 2 weeks, I contacted Silva again to find out if any progress had been made "finding a driver". The same nice person told me "no, but it shouldn't take more than a few more days". After another week had past, I called again, this time I got the Wicked Witch of the West (Cory) on the phone and we got into what can only be described as verbal fisticuffs. She told me that there were "DELAYS" and there was nothing that could be done.
A couple of days later, I called yet again and got the first woman on the phone again. She was still pleasent, but by this time all I could think was, pleasent wasn't getting my bike to me!
At the end of 31 days of accomplishing NOTHING, I cancelled my contract (the amount of time you must wait before you can cancel without being charged $100.), contacted another company (Motorcycle Transport dot biz) who got my bike loaded and shipped within 5 days.
Bottom line... Where some people have appearently had a good experience with Silva, my advice would be to keep looking. The best price on the web means nothing if you can't get your bike moved.
