I gave my credit card information before I received an invoice or any information regarding their policies. Theres was the first quote I received when I went online to get quotes. I subsequently received about 15 other quotes all were less than the $995.00 Showroom quote. I booked with another company for $850 and they only billed me a deposit of $150.00.

I notified Showroom within 24 hours that I was not going to use them because of the price difference. That is when I found out that they were going to charge me a cancellation fee of $175.00. I told them that I would not pay it but Ty was adamant. I knew nothing about a cancellation fee when I booked the job, had not seen their policy, so call me stupid but they cannot charge me a fee if I didn't sign anything. I told Ty I would dispute the charge with my credit card, which I did.

Lesson learned: Everyone who called me with a quote tried to scare me into using their company. One company said no one should charge a fee before any service is performed. Others told me their company was the best. Another told me his fee included a military discount, I doubt that was true, just another gimmick.

Another company talked to me for several minutes wanting to know how much I was paying and basically saying that I should be worried about my car being picked up at all. And that the company had only been in business for a year (Reliable Car Transportation). I said well didn't you start out like that?

All in all this was a bad experience. If Reliable does a good job I will give them a good rating.

Ty basically said if I gave my credit card information it was like signing a contract, he also told me they had the conversation recorded. If that is true then they could be sued because they never told me it was recorded, but I think it was a lie, just trying to scare me.

I am no dummy but this experience made me feel just plain stupid and stressed me out. Thanks Bluestar and Ty.
