Please avoid this company at all costs. I should have heeded all the negative reviews I saw about them before I committed to using their service. From my experience, the undervalue the cost of your shipment to become the cheapest bidder. Unfortunately, when you go with the cheapest bidder, no transporter will choose your load. This company charged me $170 and sent me contract to get my car move across the country for $1000. Needless to say, all their reasonable competitors were charging at least $1500 for the same shipment. They gave me a four-day window within which, my vehicle would be picked up. After day three, I received no contact. I called and the employee told me that I had nothing to fear, my vehicle would be shipped. I asked if the low price they quoted me was a factor and he said no. I later got information from a reliable source, which showed that while they told me I would pay a total of $1170 (including fees), they had my shipment listed for $1700 in “Central,” which is apparently the brokerage database they used to post their transactions for carriers to choose from. They sent me an email claiming that they found a driver eventually. When I read it, the telephone number they provided for the transporter was actually ShipWit’s own telephone number. After waiting two days for the transporter to show up, I was still stuck with my vehicle and a high stress level, as I would have yo make costly last minute decisions, due to their failure. I called ShipWit all day and they refused to answer the phones. They eventually sent an email stating that the ‘driver’ had canceled due to mechanical issues. I did not believe them. I kept calling their phones and got no answers. They sent a subsequent email, claiming their office was closed due to bad weather. I didn’t buy the story either. In the end, I was stuck with my car not shipped, and a company that refused to take my calls and honor their obligations. DO NOT USE THEM PLEASE!
