Initially, the phone experience with Jay was pleasant. We wanted to ship a truck from Texas to Alaska. Within a three week timeframe. The pick up driver was 4 days late. Did not call prior to pick up as we were told. We waited each day at the pick up location all day and into the evening. The truck got to Washington in good time to be placed on a barge to Anchorage. However, the company in Anchorage sent paperwork including regulations and requirements we were unaware of. There was a weight limit of personal items, and registration needed to be in the truck. We emailed registration and inventory list of personal items acknowledging that according to their regulations, we were over the weight limit. Alaska Auto Transort, the Anchorage co receiving the truck said they would calculate the cost for the extra weight and get back to us when they saw the truck. We never hear from them and did not know how long it would take to for the boat ride. After arrival in Anchorage there was one more leg to Tok Alaska. Calls and emails to Jay were unanswered. We were at the very end of the timeframe for delivery as the recipient would not be in town. I finally called Alaska Transport and they said the truck had been there for a week. They didn't know where it was going next, and said they had not been paid yet. My card had already been charged. I finally talked to two other people, other than Jay. At Ship Your Car Now.. This was a Wednesday the trip to Tok is approximately 5 hours. I had to pay an additional $2700 to get it to Tok. They couldn't take it until the following week when the recipient could not be there. We made arrangements to have it left at a business address in Tok with special insuthat the business was closed on Monday and Tuesdays. The delivery would have to be on Wednesday or later. The driver called Tuesday to say he was 2 hours away on his way to Tok. Today is Wednesday. I don't know where the truck is yet. Not sure how they could have screwed this shipment up more if they tried.
