We were coming home from vacation when our 2001 Jeep broke down. We took it to the Jeep Dealership in Chesapeake VA and were informed that the cost to fix it was almost $1000 so we decided we could get it done cheaper back home in CT, but were completely lost on how to get the car home.
We called numerous companies and submitted online forms, then were barraged with emails and phone calls from brokers who wanted a "deposit" before they would even put it out to bid.
Then I found Shank Bros. I was able to speak directly to the owner, John Shank. He thoroughly explained the process to me and although his company was not able to transport my vehicle because it was inoperable, he agreed to help me find a reputable company who would for a very reasonable fee. He did NOT ask for a deposit and he was in touch with me frequently throughout the process. My Jeep was picked up in VA Wednesday night and back home at 7 a.m. this morning.
I can't thank John enough for the assistance, and the education he gave me along the way. I would highly recommend this company if you have an auto transport need.
