Signing a contract means nothing....

I signed a contract on a Friday for a $450 shipping service for the upcoming Monday and paid a $149 deposit. By Monday, it took a few calls to finally get in touch with someone...when I did, the pickup date was delayed by a day and I was told "the driver won't do it for less than $500". The broker, Mike just said "it's not my problem". What is the point of signing a contract if you are not going to honor ANY of the detail included therein? These people are pathetic. Don't ever use SendIt as whatever they are telling you has absolutely no integrity. It must be a very uneasy feeling to go through life and do this to people, but here we are. If you don't or can't honor a contract, you shouldn't be in business.
