BUYER BEWARE. Saks Auto will quote a great rate. Do not believe anything they tell you over the phone. The price was so good that I asked several questions, including whether there are any hidden costs. Alex assured me that the $350 quote was the only cost. They then send a link to open on your phone and digitally sign. This document also says $350 is the "Total Charge" with $200 "Initial Payment" and $150 "Balance to be Paid". They collect $200 and then its a roll of the dice. How it works: They charge $200 to put your name on "the board" at a rate that a driver may or may not pick up. You will then get calls from dozens of other carriers telling you that Saks doesn't have a driver for you yet because your name is still on the board, but they can transport it for a higher rate. Saks will claim they have a driver but they won't give you details because they don't really have one yet. When they get one, the price may or may not be the price they quote. When they called to say they had a driver but the cost is now $550 rather than $350, they claim the promised price means nothing. Apparently they think their verbal promise that the quoted price is all I would have to pay means nothing to them either. Saks "final" price was higher than most of the competitors. I ended up driving the car myself and disputing the charge.

This customer was working with Mike and placed her order on March 14th . Two days later on March 16th dispatch got her a schedule and she never accepted the terms we got her with the carrier cause the truck did ask for a small increase. We got several more drivers but she never picked up our calls or responded to our emails . All serious shippers that sign a contract and put down a RSVP fee do move forward. This customer really never had any intentions to ship her car but to drive and wants to get out of a contract and waste peoples time . This industry has changed. The network we use makes all customers sign a contract in order to assure there is no double booking . The RSVP fee is to allow a customer to secure a spots on a truck with out being bumped off a truck and lose a spot . Saks Auto Trans makes all customers sign a contract so no Double Bookings occur cause all that does is create a bidding war with the next company they choose to work with getting a schedule and drives up the price even more . All of our emails clearly state Estimated price . our contract also states price can change . Our dispatchers are trained to get our customers the best price . Please keep in mind most customers get around 10 quotes with 10 different brokers and they all have a story and style to gear the customer to use there service . Our emails from the original to the follow ups we send out are all professional and every word is broken down in details of how transporting works along with how we get a customer a competitive price based off the volume we do . Saks Auto webpage faq's goes into even more detail to how shipping works . All calls we make and voice mails are made with highly trained reps that knows the industry inside and out . Our dispatch team is trained to tackle the best deal with all trucking companies that are rated A plus cause we screen transport companies based off there track record based off the years of experience .We already have a full data base of drivers we use on a daily basis threw out the country . We make sure we take the worries and headaches out of shipping . Saks Auto is the cheapest in the industry with top A rated service .
