I scheduled an enclosed carrier and stated up front to all ccompetitors that they would have one week to accomplish the pick up at anytime they wanted to and stated when it could begin to be delivered. Safeway said they could accomplish the mission but didn 't. With twenty four hours to go to the ultimate pick up deadline still no scheduled pick up. I pulled the plug and my household goods carrier found someone who could meet the pick up deadline. I had to pay 1000.00 for open carriage. I would not recommend Safeway as actions like this put the shipper in a bind and if they do not have or cannot get the assets they should not take on the job.

Customer gave us the price they wanted to work at based on the lowest bid he got. We did the best we could but he kept refusing carriers so the order was cancelled.
