Safe Transporters Inc moved 2 cars for us from PA to UT. There was some damage to both cars during shipping (dent in hood of one car, dent in front fender of the other). Shipper is denying responsibility for the damage. Unfortunately for us, the truck arrived earlier than the earliest possible date given to us at the time of pick up. The driver knew that we would not be at the delivery destination till the earliest estimated delivery date. So when he got there even earlier I tried to be accommodating and not make him wait another day to deliver the cars. I made arrangements for someone else (my brother in law) to accept cars and pay driver at 1 pm. The driver was calling them as early as 6:30 am insisting on delivering ASAP. So my sister in law got badgered into doing it earlier at her significant inconvenience. She signed for the cars which she had never seen before and did not see the damage (which would not be that obvious to a casual observer). Therefore it was not marked on the delivery papers. So we went out of our way to be reasonable and accommodating, and by so doing we gave them a technical way to deny responsibility for the damage. Just because they think that they can get away with it does not mean they should, and not do the right thing. The car with the worse damage is my son's "new" car. He is in the USMC and does not need to be dealing with this type of treatment and hassle, not to mention expense.

BEWARE this or any other shipper that tries to pressure you to do something benefitting them and potentially harming you ! There is a number of things I learned about this car moving business, but the main one for me is to avoid it completely in the future. You can also see my separate review of the shipping broker, Domestic Auto, which did a satisfactory job.
