Broker quoted me $950, then she wanted $2000!

I wasn't aware about this at the time, a few weeks ago when I was trying to get some quotes on shipping my son's truck from AZ to PA, that these brokers quote you a low estimate and then come back and say it will cost a lot more. I was getting quotes around $700 to $1200 and thought that since Safe Auto Trucking had decent reviews, I would go with the $950. I agreed to the invoice, and added my credit card information, and thought I was all set. 5 days later, the broker Ashley said that there were no trucks available in AZ and it would cost me $2000 instead. I needed this truck moved in two days! I said, "NO WAY!" and she claimed that they didn't deduct any money from my credit card yet and she would cancel. I heard from the broker that I ended up using, that there are many brokers out there that play this game, and from the beginning he said it would be no less than $1400 to ship my son's truck. So went with him, he stuck to his quote from a week ago, truck was picked up two days later as he promised. I have kept the invoice and the emails that Ashley sent me confirming the first quote to an email quoting twice as much. This is a rip-off, glad I didn't lose that money, yet, but I will keep checking my credit card to make sure. Rebecca
