Thank you for your feedback. We respectfully disagree with your characterization of the cancellation fee as deceptive and dishonest.
At SGT Auto Transport, we invest significant time, resources, and expertise into every order from the moment a customer signs the shipping agreement. This includes leveraging our industry knowledge, proprietary carrier network, and internal resources to begin arranging transportation with a licensed and insured motor carrier. These efforts begin immediately upon execution of the contract.
The $199 cancellation fee is not hidden or deceptive. It is clearly disclosed in multiple places, including our website, customer communications, and, most importantly, the shipping agreement that is reviewed and signed before an order is placed. We go to great lengths to ensure our policies are transparent and accessible.
Like any business, we incur real administrative costs and dedicate resources to each order. When a customer signs a contract, utilizes those resources, and later cancels, the cancellation fee helps offset the costs and losses associated with that process. It is a standard contractual provision that customers agree to before moving forward.
We take our commitments to customers seriously and work hard to provide a professional and reliable service. In return, we expect the terms of our mutual agreement to be honored by both parties. While we understand that plans can change, that does not negate the contractual obligations that were voluntarily accepted at the time of booking.
