Bait and Switch. The Price Is Not the Price

Wish I has read more reviews before hiring this company. Bait and switch is their business model. Contracted SGT to transport a vehicle from IL to OR. They had week to arrange pick up for a 3 day pick up window. The pick up window came and went without any contact. The day after the pick up window SGT calls and tells me they have a truck in the area to pick up the vehicle but they want an extra $300. I explained that I already have a contract for a set amount and the pick up is already late. If there was additional cost then it was on them. They refused to have the driver pick up the vehicle without extra money. After calling several times over several days trying to get the contract honored, I cancelled the pick up. All I was told is that someone is working on it. Goliath Transport eagerly matched the SGT price and picked up the vehicle the next day. Way to over promise and under deliver. I ship a lot of vehicles and I understand that delays can happen. But it's inexcusable to have a truck ready to pick up but demand more money when you already have a contract with the client. I've read all the boiler plate responses from SGT to all the negative reviews. Notice never any update that SGT made any attempt correct the situation. Just BS copy and paste responses to absolve themselves or any responsibility for the chaos they create.
