Broken Promises for Auto Transport

Consumer beware! My husband had contacted SGT Auto Transport a week ago to transport his vehicle from Iowa to California. A price was agreed upon and the vehicle was set to be picked-up between Monday to Wednesday this week. On Thursday, my husband received an email notifying him that the vehicle had not yet been picked up. He had to contact SGT to receive an update; a supervisor contacted him and advised they were confident they could pick up the vehicle by Friday or Saturday this week. On Friday he received a call from a different supervisor advising they could not pick-up the vehicle until Monday (before the 4th of July) and it would now be $400+ over the quoted and agreed upon price. While SGT paperwork cannot guarantee a pick-up date on their paperwork, my husband was willing to wait until Monday until the supervisor tacked on additional charges. Shady company, shady staff, shady practices. We are now in search a reputable company that stands by their pricing and company values. Too bad a negative star rating is not an option for SGT.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration caused by the delay in picking up your vehicle and the unexpected increase in price. We work with estimated windows for pick-up and delivery, taking into consideration factors such as vehicle size and any modifications. In this case, due to the larger size of the vehicle and the modifications, it took longer than anticipated to assign a driver. Our dispatchers came across an option to avoid further delay by picking up the vehicle. We understand that this option came with an increased cost, and we apologize for not communicating this clearly from the beginning. We always strive to present every available option to our customers, giving them the choice to accept or decline based on their preferences. We understand your disappointment and frustration with this experience. We value our customers and their satisfaction, and we apologize for not meeting your expectations. We will take your feedback into account and work towards improving our communication in the future. If you choose to continue with our services, we assure you that we will do everything in our power to provide a smooth and reliable transport experience.
