Not the best experience

Carlos and Dennis confirmed a quote of $825 on 12/29/10. Rite-Way was to arrange transport of my S500 Mercedes from Texas to Illinois. They assured my assistant the car would be picked up on Thursday, Jan. 6th. Carlos explained how the central board system works. We were told we would receive a call from the driver 24-48 hrs before p/u. Never received a call. We contacted Rite-Way on 1/4 and was told by Stephen that fuel cost had risen and the amt needed to pay the driver must increase. I agreed to the $50.00 increase. We received a call on Wednesday, 1/5, the day before p/u and was told the car could be picked up on Friday, 1/7. This was unacceptable since I was closing on my house Thursday, had no where else to the take the car and had a Friday flight scheduled. I again agreeed to increase the amt. to $200.00 additional. Rite-Way found a driver after I had to increase the payment by $250.00. The driver picked up the car on Thursday and delivered within 2 days. The driver did an excellent job; however, I was very unhappy with the manner Rite-Way transacted business. I felt they gave me a low-ball quote to get my business and and later escalated the amt. They created a lot of distress for my family. They should have been upfront with the quote/charges and I would have gladly paid for good service.
